There will be a Speech and Drama info meeting in early November! Check back for more information soon!
Speech and Drama is an opportunity for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders to showcase their acting and speaking talents. Students can choose from a wide variety of categories in which to perform, including monologues, duets, trios, dramatic presentations, improvisation, and much more. Throughout December, January, and February, students rehearse their chosen pieces with a speech and drama coach. All their hard work culminates in a performance at the West 40 Speech and Drama Festival, where they are evaluated by a judge and receive a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place score.
