Forest Hills Elementary School is a place where students are at the forefront of our minds, actions, and hearts each and every day. Our 'recipe for success' is to take children who come to us eager to learn, make them feel safe, valued, and respected, while utilizing teaching practices which allow them to own their own learning at the highest levels. The talented staff at Forest Hills is very skilled at deeply knowing our students, making learning goals and objectives transparent, and providing students with feedback and opportunities to show their learning and share it with others.
We desire to cultivate well-rounded individuals who are effective communicators, collaborative, empathetic, reflective, critical thinkers/problem solvers, perseverant, and thoughtful global citizens. Through our rigorous academic curriculum, positive learning environment, and authentic, teachable moments, we strive to reinforce these important attributes across the school experience. This has been our focus for the past few years and our continued goal for the years to come.
Aside from the rich core classroom experiences, students also benefit from an extraordinary specials experience and extra-curricular offerings. Students have opportunities in fine arts, technology, physical education, and STEM. It is our goal to foster a passion for learning and growth for each and every student -- both inside and outside the classroom.
